Our food is labeled as a rotational meal, treat, or topper because we have chosen not to add artifical supplemention to our food. We believe that if you feed your pet a variety of food you will achieve a balanced diet for your pet. Our pets only eat Portland Pet Food Company formulas and have excellent blood test results. Please check with your vet if you plan to only feed this product to your pet. This food makes bland commercial food taste great and is economical when used as a topper or a special meal intermittently, like to encourage a sick or elderly pet to eat their food, take their medication, etc.

We are just decimal points shy from being a complete and balanced diet, which thresholds were set for highly processed foods like kibble/cans. By rotating 2 or more of our meals all vitamin and nurtient levels for C&B will be reached. 

When your pet transitions to a new food or supplemental meal, it’s best to introduce it slowly. If you feed too much of the new food too quickly, your pet could experience food refusal and possibly some degree of stomach upset, diarrhea, vomiting, excess gas or constipation. The best method to transition from the current food to a new food is to gradually mix an increasing amount of the new product with the old over a period of time until the pet is receiving only the new product. This is very important so that you do not disrupt your pet’s digestive balance.

How much do I feed my pet?

We ship Monday-Friday. Orders places after 12 PM PT on Thursdays will ship the following Monday. All Orders are shipped with 4 days of your order. You will get a notification when your order is getting packed, then shipped, then out for delivery, and when it has arrived :)
